I have one question for everyone: How is your new years resolution going? Have you stuck with whatever it is you have pledged to do?
I used to love making my new years resolutions but as time goes on I realize that waiting until the new year to decide to make positive changes only made me procrastinate in getting things done. So, I have changed my thinking and I am no longer making new years resolution. Instead I am making REVOLUTIONS!!
The definition of revolution is is a fundamental change in power or organizational structures that takes place in a relatively short period of time. A revolution can be made any time, any where about any thing you choose. So whether you are following your resolution or not, make time to make those important changes now. Stop making excuses!
Now if your resolution was to eat healthy and lose weight and you have not done that, I am here to tell you it is ok. Don’t look back on what you see as a failed attempt to be healthy and fit which will make you feel worse and want to give up. What is not ok is continuing on the same path of self sabatoge. You can start today. Yes today. Go out and take a walk or go to the gym or workout to a home video or youtube a fitness workout and do it in your living room. Whatever type of workout you want to do, just do it NOW. Eating healthy is the other crucial piece of weight loss success. You must be aware of what you are eating, how many calories, the ingredients in the foods you eat and you must burn more calories than you consume. My 5 most important tips for you to achieve your health and fitness revolution is this:
1. Schedule your workout days on your weekly calender now. Treat it as any other appointment you have that day and don’t miss or cancel it.
2. Do your grocery shopping on Sunday and prepare your meals and snacks for the week.
3. Pack your food for the day so you always have healthy snacks with you and never have to eat out or on the run.
4. Fill a water bottle and keep it with you drinking it all day long.
5. Eat 5 meals per day: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner.
6. Eat every 3-4 hours.
Cheers to being healthy and fit in 2012!!
